Dear Pennies and Pens,

Hey guys! So you may have noticed that I just added “Pens” to my opening line. I did this because I’m toying around with the idea of designing a line but of course my inability to sketch and not having a budget are stopping me from actually doing so. Nonetheless, I wanted to add “Pens” for my male readers because I just think “Pennies” for men was too effeminate. In essence, if you’re a female reader you’re a “Penny” if you’re a male, you’re a “Pen”…if you’ve opted to switch sides feel free to make the mental change, I don’t discriminate.

Like I just briefly mentioned I’d like to design a line and dedicate it to my Pennies & Pens. Not only are you guys my readers, but, you are who I envision as my target market for my collection. Obviously, if you read my site you care about what I think and who I find fashionable so I figure why not try and dress my readers while I’m at it? This is simply me wondering a loud. I have done no research nor I have even mentioned this publicly prior to this. I’m really just babbling because I don’t feel like executing the day’s tasks etc. etc.

Another major change is that I have a new contributor, L.A. Confidential. As you all hopefully know, this is an international and multicultural fashion, style, beauty, and music blog. I have everything from Sue Wong, to Hirooka Naoto, to Carlos Miele for international designers, models like Jourdan Dunn, Chanel Iman, and Abbey Lee Kershaw, style profiles of fashionistas like Victoria Beckham, Blake Lively, and Solange Knowles and tons of event coverage. However, producing all that content by myself has begun to take its toll so I’m adding L.A. Confidential first but please not there will be more.

Lastly, I’m pondering a new site design. I won’t make major changes but I do feel like this current design has its limitations. What do you guys think? Do you like de la Pen just as it is or do you think it could be better? What about a possible collection from me? Would you buy it? Any design suggestions? Sound off in the comments!

And there it is. The Fashion and Style of the Pen…de la Pen.
